Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang

Day 1 Shanghai-Xian (L)
In the morning, our private driver will pick you up from your hotel. Transfer you to airport and fly to Xian.
Upon your arrival, be met by our guide and driver at Xian airport. Visit the Terra-cotta Warrior and Horses. These 6000 life-size painted terracotta warrior and horses-individually sculpted from real life models and arranged in battle formation have been protecting the mausoleum of the first emperor in Chinese history- Emperor Qinshihuang for 2,200 years. After lunch, then head for the Forest of Stone Steles Museum. With over 900 years of history, the site holds a large collection of the earliest stone steles and sculptures of different dynasties. After the tour, transfer to hotel.

Day 2 Xian-Luoyang-Xian (B, L)
Hotel to Xian railway transfer; catch the high-speed train to Luoyang. Visit Longmen Grottoes, regarded as the three most famous treasure houses of stone inscriptions in China; and the Shaolin Temple, the origin of Chinese Kung Fu. You will also enjoy the real Kung fu performance by the monks.
After the tour, take the high-speed train back to Xian and transfer to hotel.

Day 3 Xian-Shanghai (B, L)
After the breakfast, come to the Shaanxi History Museum, another famed national museum in China. Then stand on the top of the City Wall to have a panorama of the city. You could also choose to cycle on the wall (self pay). Head for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a elegant Buddhist architecture, symbol of Xian. Our last stop is Great Mosque, the oldest in China with traditional Chinese building style. After the tour, transfer to airport and fly back to Shanghai. Our Shanghai driver will pick you up in time and transfer to your hotel. End of our service.

The first scenery spot we visit is the famous must-see Terracotta Warriors; then we will go to the Xian City Wall, which has thousands of history and is still well preserved now. The next one is Banpo Museum. Here you can feel the prosperity of living and production in the remote matriarchal clan society over 6 thousand years ago. The last station is the Bell & Drum Tower. Forest of Stone Steles Museum

Day 1 Shanghai-Xian (L)
The private driver and English Speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel at 5am and transfer you to Shanghai airport. After reaching Xian, we firstly visit the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, which is the first built national level museum with modern facilities. At here you can see various Bronze wares of Zhou and Qin dynasty. The next scenery spot is the Big Goose Pagoda; it was built in Tang Dynasty to reserve the Buddhist sutras brought by the Buddhist Xuangzang from India. Today it has become the symbol of the old Xian City. Then we will visit Xian City Wall, the most intact reserved old castle in China, and at last we come to the neighbored Bell & Drum Tower. Visit Shanghai Museum which is thought as the best museum in China with stunning collections. Head to the beautiful Yuyuan Garden in the center of Shanghai old quarters and the popular worshipped Jade Buddha Temple. Then ascend the tall Oriental Pearl TV Tower for a panorama of the city.

Day 3 Shanghai-Suzhou (B, L)
Pick up from hotel and transfer to the train station where you take bullet train to Suzhou. Upon arrival be met by our Suzhou local guide.
Suzhou is famous for delicate South China classic gardens and we will visit two representatives-Humble Administrators Garden and Lion Grove. More, we will take a cruise on the Grand Canal which is the longest man-made waterway in the world, and then travel through the old streets & Hutongs in Suzhou by rickshaw ride to see local people’s life.

Day 4 Suzhou-Hangzhou (B, L)
Hotel pickup and travel to Hangzhou by train. Hangzhou is heavenly beautiful. In the city we will visit its most famous attraction-the West Lake. Besides, we see Lingyin Temple, one of the most important and wealthist Buddhist temples in China, and the Meijiawu Tea Planation among lush green hills, where visitors can have a tea culture experience by seeing tea picking and processing.

Day 5 Hangzhou-Xian (B)

Big Wild Goose Pagoda

Day 2 Xian (L)
Be greeted in the morning by our guide at the exit of Xian Railway Station and transferred to hotel. He/She will hold a sign with your name on for you to recognize. Then let’s witness the world wonder-Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is quite impressive to see the underground army formed of hundreds of life size soldiers.

Day 3 Xian-Shanghai (B, L)
Continue our exploration in this cultural city. The ancient City Wall, formed of walls, ramparts, gates and watchtowers is one of the oldest city defenses. You can walk or pay extra cost to rent a bike at the top of the wall. The Muslim Quarters gives an glimpse of Muslim life and is famous for the Muslim bazaar. The Shaanxi History Museum is one of the nation’s best to learn about Chinese history. Gao’s Courtyard is the former residence of an official in Ming Dynasty. In the courtyard, you will enjoy a traditional Shadow Play.
After the tour, take the overnight soft sleeper back to Shanghai.

Day 4 Arrive in Shanghai
Our tour guide in Shanghai will expect you in front of your train carriage, then escort you to your hotel in Shanghai.

You will be picked up at your hotel lobby and transferred to Shanghai airport. Be met at the arrival hall of Xian airport by our guide and transferred to hotel.
After lunch, start our tours in Xian. First visit the Shaanxi History Museum, one of the four best museums in China. Then move on to the beautiful Buddhist architecture – Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Continue to visit the famous Great Mosque in the Muslim Quaters.

Day 2 Xian (B, L)
Today you will witness one of the eight wonders in the World-Terra-cotta Worriors and Horses. The underground army consisted of hundreds of life size soldiers are quite impressive. Have lunch and visit the ancient City Wall. It is very pleasant to either walk or cycle on the top of Wall (bike rent fee excluded).

Day 3 Xian (B, L)
Visit Famen Temple that enshrines the finger sarira of Buddha. After lunch, visit the Qianling Tomb, the co-tomb of Tempeor Tang Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian, the only empress in Chinese history. Back to Xian.

Day 4 Xian-Mt. Huashan (B, L)
Today we will have an excursion to Mt. Huashan that lies 120km east of Xian. Huashan mountainis one of China’s five holy mountains. It is famed for its steepness and also is the highest of the five, a challenge among climb enthusiasts. You can pay extra cost to take cable car. After the tour, be transferred back to your hotel in Xian.

Day 5 Xian-Shanghai (B)
You will be transferred to Xi’an airport and fly back to Shanghai. Our Shanghai driver will meet you at Shanghai airport and transfer back to your hotel.
